LETS TALK SALT

So glad you here! You will find lots of good information on how incorporating pure salts in your life can have some seriously positive outcomes.

This first bit is about a service called Halotherapy, also known as Dry salt therapy. I am extremely excited to announce that I will be giving treatments in Cape Coral, FL starting sometime in March. This is a 10 minute service and all that is required of you is to sit in a comfortable chair breathing the salty air. You will be giving your lungs something that all of us need, a cleaning! At the same time, your skin will be on its way to rejuvenation.

Salt is anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory!

THE BENEFITS:
The Lungs.
People are exposed to pollutants, airborne diseases, bacteria, allergens and other irritating factors on a daily basis. Halotherapy is a method to cleanse and detox the lungs as well as invigorate the entire body with increased lung capacity and oxygen intake. Regular halotherapy sessions is an excellent way to aid breathing and improve your quality of life.
Dry salt is super absorbent and acts like a sponge attracting foreign substances along its path through the respiratory tract. The dry salt can be imagined to behave like a toothbrush that cleans through the respiratory system removing the build up of foreign elements that cause various respiratory ailments and conditions. Clean lungs are healthy lungs!
Halotherapy is known to improve:

The Skin.
Our skin is the largest organ and like the respiratory system, it has a major role to protect and defend the body against bacteria, viruses and other microbes. It also excretes wastes, regulates temperature and prevents dehydration by controlling the level of perspiration.

The salt provides pH normalization and induces reparative and regenerative processes in derma, increases skin rigidity, stimulates growth and improves hair health. The dry salt impacts the skin microcirculation and assists cellular membrane activity used in dermatology and cosmetology and enhances their effectiveness.
Halotherapy is known to improve:
-
Psoriasis
-

-

A little history...

Halotherapy, was created to resemble the natural salt mines/caves that were discovered in Europe and Russia. The miners noticed they had nicer skin and rarely any respiratory issues and overall good health! This is from the salt being dispersed into the air and filling their lungs and covering their bodies. Doctors over the past thousand years have caught on to what amazing benefits the underground salt caves gave.

In 1985 in Odessa, Russia, the Institute of Balneology, in collaboration with the salt cavers from Uzhgorod, developed the first Halotherapy device. A device that was grinding and crushing salt and would disperse the particles into the air. One could say that Halotherapy was “born” in the medical environment, in former Soviet Union. After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the knowledge of the halo technology and established Halotherapy protocols became accessible to the rest of the world. Soon Halotherapy claimed its place in more commercial and wellness settings outside of the USSR in Eastern and Western Europe, Canada, Australia and finally the United States.

There are two types of salt therapy.
Wet salt therapy includes, saline solutions, nebulizers, salt baths and salt scrubs. Also, neti-pots, gargling solutions, sole drinking water, exfoliations and flotation tanks.
Dry salt therapy is dry salt being dispersed into a low to no humid space. Often as salt rooms or caves/chambers usually decorated with salt decor.

There are two types of rooms that use dry salt therapy. Active and passive.

1. Active salt rooms include a halogenerator and are primarily based on providing a controlled way of providing micro-particles of salt in the air to be inhaled and exposed to the skin. This can be achieved only by a special piece of equipment known as a halogenerator. Pure sodium chloride is placed into the halogenerator, which then crushes and grinds the salt into micro-sized particles and disperses the salt aerosol into the air. This type of dry salt therapy is known as Halotherapy.

2. Passive salt rooms are man-made environments that are filled with large amounts of varying types of salt such as Dead Sea, Himalayan, Rock Salt, Mediterranean, Caribbean, etc. but without a halogenerator. Often, these passive salt rooms are designed to control the climate by regulating the airflow, humidity and temperature to allow for an allergen and pollutant free environment. These passive salt rooms are attempting to provide what is known as Speleotherapy, based on the natural salt caves found throughout Europe, however it is in a man-made environment. Speleotherapy occurs in natural environments that are underground with specific conditions that include atmospheric pressure, air temperature, wind speed, air composition, humidity and other factors that cannot be reproduced in a man-made environment.

Without any halotherapy equipment, it is not recognized as halotherapy. It is a passive salt room that provides a great space for relaxation, meditation and increases psycho-emotional well-being.

SALT PRODUCTS <3

One of my favorite Himalayan Salt products are
THE LAMPS!!!
I fell in love when I received a himalayan salt lamp from my mom for my 35th birthday. I now have a lamp in every room of my house.. I will tell you why. Three years ago I decided to buy a detox salt dome lamp. At that time my daughter and I both suffered from severe stuffy noses (most likely from pet allergies) my daughter was 5 years old. We decided to try out the lamp. We warmed it up, placed her hands on it for 10 minutes and then her feet for another 10 minutes. We didn't know what to expect, just knew that this salt is known for healing...
Later when she was getting ready for bed she says to me, "mommy, I can breath!!" I asked her what she meant, and she says "my nose isn't stuffy anymore!" I was so happy for her and realized how uncomfortable a stuffy nose really is! Later that night I did the detox lamp and it cleared my nose unbelievably. Since then I keep my lamps on 24/7. We have not dealt with ANY allergy symptoms since then!! That speaks in itself for this beautiful salt...
Just wanted to let known my own personal experience and how it worked for me.

One of the best things about a salt lamp is the glow it gives off. It will set the mood instantly for a relaxing environment. Some people use these lamps for chromotherapy (color therapy) since it helps alleviate stress. When lit the beautiful orange/pink coloring resembles a sunset, which sets your mind up for a good nights rest.
